Welcome

My name is Nicky Shaw

With over 30 years professional practice in education and care, I am an experienced Early Years Trainer and Consultant, Early Education Associate and Senior Lead Practitioner Trainer with Emotion Coaching UK.

As a freelance trainer and consultant, I draw from my own professional practice experience to create and deliver meaningful and impactful professional learning and support that builds confidence, improves relationships, and positively impacts outcomes for children and families.

I support childminders and home-based childcare settings, private and local authority nurseries, school-aged childcare settings, primary and secondary schools, further education professionals and third sector organisations.

Online Professional Learning

I create and deliver CPL training for professionals working in early years, primary schools, school-aged childcare, secondary schools and wider organisations. Sessions are live on zoom and are twilight, evening or Saturday morning events. All sessions contribute to your annual CPL hours.

Bespoke Professional Learning for Settings

I create and deliver bespoke professional training for early years settings, childminders, primary schools, school-aged childcare, secondary schools, colleges, local authorities, national and international organisations.

I deliver in-person or online CPL sessions, conference workshops, lectures and keynotes.

I love that Nicky comes with the lived experience from practice and shares this. I found learning about the science behind why we always feel uneasy about change so interesting. It was great to be given suggestions on how to support a culture which will be open to change. Thankyou so much Nicky! It was very thought provoking and I’ll definitely try and implement some of it into my setting
